Preparation and usage
Method for Thickening Soup: For 1 liter of stock, add 3 tbsp cornflour to 1/4 cup of water and stir till it dissolves. Once the soup is cooked, add cornflour and boil for 1 minute to thicken. Method to Prepare Batter: Add 1/2 cup of cornflour to 1/2 cup of flour. Add one cup of water gradually and stir constantly. Add 1 tbsp of cooking oil to this mixture and use for frying. Method for Thickening Gravy: Add 1 tbsp of cornflour to 4 tbsp of water to make a paste. Add paste to gravy and stir the mixture well. If the gravy is thinner than required repeat the process.
